Aussie Eggshell Carvers

Following the very successful first Aussie Carving Camp, held in Goolwa, SA in April 2008
this page has been set up as a  resource area for Aussie egg artists who would like
to broaden their egging pursuits to include carving techniques.

Attendees from the 2008 Camp

Here you will find links for helpful items for carving and also instructions for items, which I think you will find useful.
If you find any links you think would be helpful to carvers please email me with the details.

2009 Carving & Decorating Camp

The second Aussie Carving Camp will be held from March 29th, to April 5th, 2009 at Goolwa, South Australia.
This camp will combine carving and decorating sessions so those who might be a bit dubious about carving
but would like to experience the fun of an egging retreat, can join in the fun doing a decorated egg
and have the opportunity to see first hand what carving is all about.

For the newbie carvers Lorna Winch, winner of the Novice Relief carving section in the 2007 TES carving competition
will show you how to do 3 different carving techniques on ostrich and brown chicken eggs.

Tina  Boes,
internationally acclaimed carved egg artist, is returning for the 2009 camp to show
how to effectively use the different colour layers in an intermediate emu egg carving class.

For the decorators we haven't forgotten you either!

Louise Stewart, whose expertise with mechanical eggart designs is well known,
will be showing how to create a rotating beaded clock.

Like something a bit more manageable?

Seminar Gallery

Further details for all the classes will be available to those who register to attend.

The choice is yours - carving, either beginners and/or intermediate
or decorating
or a bit of both!
Don't delay - register now for your chance to attend this fun egging retreat in 2009.
