An old wrapping paper was used on this egg which featured in 'Tis An Egg on page 22. A base print was cut out and glued to the egg and a number of scrolls were added on either side to give a bit more interest. The egg was cut out around the figure using the scrolls as bridges.

Additional copies of the print were used to shape the base figure, as well as shaped layers for the bodice of the dress, the girl's arm and legs and the individual petals of the skirt. All the flowers were shaped and stiffened, while some "hair" added realism to the fairy. The flowers in her hair are the tiny five petal punched paper flowers.
