Flood Fill with white. Open the Dolphin.tub,
copy and paste into selection.
Glass:

F5 to reset to Default setting
change colour to white.
Repeat twice for each panel.
Note: This trinket box was done by a friend
who has never used PSP before. |

ROSES
Supplies zip needed: tortoiseshell jpg, roses tubes
Frame:
Flood fill with tortoiseshell pattern scaled to 50%
Effects/Inner Bevel: apply round preset
Colours/Adjust/Brightness/Contrast:
brightness 0 contrast 40%
Insert
Panels:
Selections/Modify/Contract: each insert panel by 1 pixel, then flood fill with #E6DDA4
Roses Tube sizes:
(insert panels) centre 40%, sides 30%, far sides 20%
(lid) left side 50%, centre 60%, right side 40%
Inner Bevel for roses: round bevel, width 15,
smoothness 5, depth 3, angle 315, intensity 45, elevation 35 |

Notes: -
Always sharpen tubes after resizing.
Mirror image roses i.e. left and right roses.
When placing roses on far sides you need to reload each selection (on a new layer). This will enable you to position the roses so they appear to wrap around the sides.
Apply inner bevel to each rose and sharpen each rose
again (brightens & highlights)
On lid change rotation of each rose slightly and mirror left and right roses.

POTPOURRI
Supplies zip needed:
glass.jpg, gi-potpourri.tub
Frame:
Flood fill with #808080
Effects/Plug-ins/Texturizer: Sandstone
Inner Bevel: Angled preset
Insert
Panels:
Open the Glass.jpg
and Copy (CTRL+C).
Click on main image and Paste into Selection
(SHIFT+CTRL+L)
Note: If filling with flowers, add the glass
(transparency 50%) AFTER adding the flowers.
Use the Freehand Selection Tool to create an area within the trinket box to fill with flowers or your choice
OR
Randomly stamp the potpourri tube, resized to 40%
Remember always sharpen tubes after resizing.
Sharpen some of the buds again and apply inner bevel with same settings as for the frame.
Use Eraser Tool to cleanup any stray pixels.
To
Finish: Apply Eye Candy 4000 Shadowlab filter
using the default settings.

Tips from Sandy
On a couple of spots, on the legs and on the lid, where the edges were a bit
jaggy, I used the Retouch Tool set on Smudge to soften them a little.
Use the following settings for the Retouch Tool
Shape - Round
Size - 3
Hardness - 0
Opacity - 61
Step - 5
Density - 100
Smudge
I also cheated with the legs! I copied and pasted as a new layer, then mirrored
the leg when I had done one so I didn't have to do it again! |
